Group Activities

Take a Break provides a wide variety of group activities across Warwickshire and Coventry. Our groups provide safe places for children and young people to socialise away from school, build their confidence and independence and most importantly have fun! Keep reading to find out more about the groups we offer and how to book places.

Saturday Clubs

Our Saturday Clubs run during term time from 10.00am-12.00pm (times differ in Rugby, see below). A great way to get the weekend get off to a good start, our Saturday Clubs offer a variety of activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, cooking and more.

Open to those aged 5 - 18 years.

Venues: Coleshill (Community Centre), Warwick (the GAP), Alcester (scout HQ), Nuneaton (Hatters Space), Keresley (Community Centre), Rugby (Overslade Community Centre), Coventry (John White Community Centre)

Rugby Saturday Club

At our Rugby site, we currently provide three sessions.

10.00am-12.00pm: Primary Session

12.00pm-2.00pm: Specialist Sensory Session (mixed ages)

2.00pm-4.00pm: Secondary Session 

Play Schemes

Our play schemes run from 10.00am - 2.00pm in most school holidays. We understand that the school holidays can be a real challenge for both parents and young people. Our playschemes are a fantastic way to make the most of the school breaks, providing quality leisure time for the young people attending and a well-earned break for their parents and carers.

Rugby Youth Group

Our Wednesday Youth groups runs from 6.00pm-8.00pm for 43 weeks a year from Overslade Community Centre. The aim of the group is to promote independence skills and to provide positive opportunities for play.

Oakwood After School Club

We run an after-school club for the students of Oakwood School, Nuneaton.

A service coordinator will discuss with you what you are looking for, and will then arrange a home visit to discuss your child or young person's needs in more detail, the support we can provide and the cost in more detail.

As a guide, our current standard hourly rates are as follows.

Group Service Rate: £14.45

Individual Service Rate: £14.45

Transport can be provided for all group activities at an additional charge.
